The recent, seasonal weather and corresponding fall in water temperatures has our stripers and spotted bass feeding aggressively. Current temp's are in the mid-low 50F range, ideal for stripers. Large schools of bait(shad & herring) are pushing to the backs of major creeks and large coves off of these same channels. Stripers and bass are feeding aggressively throughout the morning and afternoons, particularly so on overcast days. These fish are readily accessible to live baits fished from just below the surface to the bottom. Jigging spoons and crankbaits are effective too. If you can find balls of bait, you will find the predators.
