My anglers been catching nice mixed bags of stripers, spotted bass, largemouth bass, catfish, and even panfish in shallow water on points and flats at dawn. The fish are hitting live baits(shad, herring, bream) and artificials(shad raps, pop r's, crankbaits, and bucktails). The water temperature is in the mid 60F range. After the sky brightens, large numbers of bass can be caught throughout the day along the banks in the backs of major creek coves, and coves off of the main river channel. Stripers can be found early and late in the day in shallow water. During the brightest part of the day, look for stripers around the sides and end of long creek points, roaming deeper banks(especially near underwater humps)and travelling in the deep channels of the major creeks.
